Inflation rate drops to 52.8% in February – Ghana Statistical Service 

The inflation between January and February 2023 is 1.9% decrease.

The inflation rate has dropped from 53.6% to 52.8% in February, a report by the Ghana Statistical Service indicated. 

The data by the GSS on the 15th of March, 2023 sighted by 1Family Radio indicated that the month-on-month inflation rate between January 2023 and February 2023 recorded 1.9% decrease. 

According to the report, the Consumer Price Index for February 2023 was 168.7 relative to 110.4 for February 2022 using the linked series.

It was noted that the food inflation was 59.1% and the inflation rate for last month was 61.0%. Also, the inflation for locally produced items and imported items are 49.0% and 62.3% respectively. 

The inflation for transport stands at 70.3% while housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels is at 69.8%.
