Kobina Tahir Hammond, the member of parliament for the Adansi Asokwa Constituency has lamented that he sometimes feels distressed in parliament because of the friction between the minority and majority caucus.

He made this submission in reaction to the clash between the deputy minority leader and the deputy majority leader.

According to him, most of the debates in the house ends in confrontations because both the minority and majority caucus are unwilling to compromise on their standpoints on issues.

During his submission in the house which was monitored by 1Family Radio, the lawmaker indicated that two weeks after he was vetted as the minister-designate for Trade and Industry, the minority caucus do not to approve him as a minister.

“Mr. Speaker, this house is gradually falling apart. There is so much noise, frictions and intolerance in the house. We are not accustomed to this. Nowadays, there are tantrums all over the place and the entire house breaks down into insanity and this must be rectified,” he bemoaned.

He furthered that he has been vetted for two weeks now but the minority caucus has refused to approve him and he still in parliament. Tahir Hammond pleaded with the Speaker to introduce some sanity in the house.
