The Minister of Health has been scheduled to appear before Parliament  

The minister of health is expected to brief parliament on the nationwide shortage of vaccine

The Health Committee of Parliament has summoned the Minister of Health, Dr. Kwaku Agyeman Manu to appear before Parliament on February 28, 2023.

There has been a nationwide shortage of vaccines needed for the vaccination of children from 0 to 18 months.

This might worsen the vulnerability of the children who need the vaccines.

In a letter issued by the Health Committee in Parliament sighted by 1Family Radio indicated that the minister is expected to brief the house on the shortage of vaccine across the country. 

Dr. Agyeman must also enlighten the committee on some measures being taken by the Ministry of health to tackle the issue.

The supervisors of the Ghana Health Service, the National Health Insurance Authority, the Global Fund, the Vaccine Control Program and the Ministry of Finance must also appear before parliament alongside the Minister of Health.
