Professor Joshua Alabi, a Ghanaian politician and the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has declared that former President John Dramani Mahama is the only person that can save the economy from crashing.
He made this statement after picking the nomination forms on behalf of the former president in order to permit him contest in the flagbearer elections of the National Democratic Congress.
This follows the announcement by the NDC that all is set for the opening of the nominations for the elections of the presidential and parliamentary candidate for the 2024 General elections. The Former president also declared his intentions to contest for the flagbearership of the party to the minority caucus in parliament.
According to Prof. Alabi, Mahama has the experience needed to restore macroeconomic stability in the country.
Speaking to the press after picking the nominations forms on February 22, 2023, the professor indicated that currently, Ghana’s economy is in a mess, Ghanaians are suffering and are yearning for the comeback of Mahama.
He furthered that Ghanaians need a leader who is experienced to govern and implement policies that can mitigate the economic hardships. Prof. Alabi indicated that it will take someone who is humble, loves Ghanaians and who already has the experience to restore the economy and Mahama has all these qualities.
Prof. Alabi added that they have picked the nomination forms on behalf of Mahama and they will work with him for the betterment of the NDC and Ghana as a whole.
