Edwin Alfred Provencal, the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) has hinted that there will be at least a ¢1 reduction in the prices of gasoline.

Speaking in an interview on Asaase Radio monitored by 1Family Radio, Mr. Edwin indicated that the reduction depends on the consignment of gasoline and diesel from the Gold-For-Oil program by the government.

He added that the country has received the first delivery of the Gold-For-Oil program and they are looking forward to bringing two cargoes of both gasoline and diesel in February.

Mr. Edwin noted that based on factors like the economy, demand and supply, they might increase the purchase to five cargoes in March.

He furthered that BOST is negotiating on the prices with the National Petroleum Authority but he is certain that there will definitely be at least a GH¢1 reduction in the prices of petrol at the pump.

The BOST director mentioned that even though there has been a fifty-pesewas reduction, buyers of gasoline should anticipate a further reduction in the price at the pumps.
