Ghanaian socialite Diamond Appiah has reacted to a claim by her nemesis Naana Brown that she was one of the ladies McBrown’s husband, Maxwell Mensah dated before settling down with McBrown.
Naana Brown in a recent video alleged that Diamond Appiah snatched Maxwell Mensah from Mzbel because he was a wealthy man.
“Nana Ama’s husband, Maxwell was dating Mzbel and Diamond snatched him. She knew he was rich, and so she did all she could to snatch him. Diamond later introduced him to one of her friends, a well-endowed wealthy woman who also took him away from Diamond not long after they were introduced.’’
“They exchanged numbers and days later, she discovered her friend started going on dates with Maxwell too,’’ Naana Brown disclosed in the video.
In reaction to this, Diamond Appiah has revealed that she never dated Maxwell although he had once professed love to her.
“I am not part of the women Maxwell dated in the industry before settling down with McBrown. Maxwell proposed to me alright. He did so through Kofi Nti the musician,’’ Diamond stated in the viral video sighted by 1Family Radio.
“Kofi Nti and Nana Ofori can bear witness to this. Naana who is your witness? Even Mzbel knows that I never dated Maxwell. He professed love to me and we have only met once.’’
“We went to Chinese restaurant at Kingsby and that was all. Our paths have never crossed after that meeting. When I discovered that he was Mzbel’s ex-boyfriend, I questioned Kofi Nti why he wanted to link me with someone who has once dated Mzbel. That was all,’’ she said.
“Maxwell never called me again until I later heard that he bypassed me to date Abena, a friend of mine,’’ Diamond added.
