Mr. Emmanuel Mawanye Kotin, the Executive Director of African Center for Security and Counterterrorism has shared his two cents about the current murder case of a lady by her boyfriend who happens to be a police inspector.

In recent times, social media has been buzzed with news of a Police Inspector by name Ahmed Twumasi allegedly killing his girlfriend, Victoria Dapaah over allegations of cheating on the part of the lady.

Reacting to this news, Mr. Kotin has explained that this murder case is clearly a mental case and some measures must be put in place to curb this rogue behavior by some police officers in the country.

“This is obviously a mental health problem,’’ he stated on TV3’s Midday live monitored by 1Family Radio.

According to him, the mental firmness of police officers is getting fragile with each passing day which is very serious.

He continued that the current Inspector-General of Police, George Akuffo-Dampare although started his administration on a good note has now dozed off and this is causing a lot of aberrations on the part of the officers who are expected to protect the citizens.

He alleged that there is a group of officers in the Police Service known as the Dampare Boys. Mr. Kotin claimed that these officers get promoted against the regimen of the Police Service.
