Kwadwo Boateng Agyeman, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has advised Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a flagbearer aspirant of the party to be the running mate for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia instead of contesting with him.
According to him, there is no way Alan Kyerematen can be the flagbearer of the NPP because Bawumia is the most popular candidate in the party now.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa TV monitored by 1Family Radio, Mr. Boateng noted that the only way Alan could be the president is by accepting to be the running mate of Bawumia in the 2024 elections then he can later contest for the presidency.
He furthered that all the members of the party believe that Bawumia is the best candidate for the NPP and if Alan becomes his running mate, it will pave way for him to succeed Bawumia .
“I swear on my father’s grave that if Bawumia doesn’t win the primary, I’ll stop doing politics,’’ he noted.
“Alan should understand that politics is about negotiations, he should plead with the vice president to be his running mate now and become the flagbearer of the party after Bawumia,” he advised.
