Ghanaian radio presenter with Despite Media and also an entertainment critic, Abena Moet has shared her two cents about Nana Ama McBrown’s transition from Despite Media to General Media.
Nana Ama McBrown, the former host of UTV’s United Showbiz on March 13, 2023 joined Media General. She was unveiled as the new staff of Onua TV, a subsidiary of Media General amidst drumming and dancing.
Although the reason for transition is yet to be disclosed, it is some staff of Despite Media have bashed her for resigning from UTV after their efforts to make her a good host.
Reacting to her resignation from UTV, Abena Moet has claimed Despite Media made Nana Ama the great host she is today.
Abena Moet, a radio presenter at Okay FM indicated that Nana Ama was groomed by Despite Media to become a presenter without any proper education.
“Mrs. Mensah has moved to Media General, and I don’t know if they do it often but they had a whole ceremony with drumming and dancing just to welcome her,’’ she noted in a viral video sighted by 1Family Radio.
She furthered, “for her transition from acting to the media without having any proper education is very impressive. Media General, note that any good she gives you, we gave it to her first.’’
“We groomed her and made her a TV host so we deserve the credit. We made a better host,’’ she concluded.
