Sam Nartey George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram has disclosed that Godfred Dame, the Attorney General is hindering the passage of the anti-LGBTQ+Bill.

Speaking in an interview on 3FM Sunrise Morning monitored by 1Family Radio, Sam George cautioned the Attorney General to cease hindering the passage of the Bill and allow the committee to do their work. He added that the Bill is currently at the committee level.

Sam George indicated that the Attorney General has become a hindrance in the wheel of parliament and he is interfering in the passage of the LGBTQ+Bill.

He noted that Godfred Dame didn’t present any memo when parliament called for memos despite the fact that his staff having been working with the committee since the process began. Sam hinted that the Attorney General who later submitted his memo didn’t avail himself for review with the committee.

According to Sam George, the committee is through with the clause by clause consideration but the Attorney General claims he has a memo to bring which will last for thirty minutes because the content of his memo has already been handled at the clause by clause consideration.

The lawmaker asserted that the Attorney General is expected to appear before parliament on February 21,2023 to debate on his memo.
