The majority chief whip in parliament and the MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has cautioned Jonnie Hughes not to attack the elderly officials of the NPP.
On February 8, 2023, Johnnie Hughes, the host of 3FM Sunrise Morning Show shared a post on his Twitter handle which made mockery of the president and his senior advisor. The post was an image of President Akuffo Addo and Yaw Osafo-Maafo with the inscription, “President Akuffo Addo aged 78, with his senior advisor aged 82. 78-82 sure banker.
The lawmaker didn’t take this post Johnnie likely as he has warned him to restrain from attacking the NPP officials.
In a post shared by Frank on February 9, 2023, he stated that Johnnie is a competent media personality, intelligent and very critical on issues. The lawmaker furthered that, Johnnies has every right to constructively criticize the policies and decisions by the president but he shouldn’t attack the elderly government officials.
“Learn to restrain yourself from attacking the grey hair of the elderly”, the lawmaker tweeted. According to him, attacking the elderly makes Johnnie an obnoxious person. He concluded by demanding that Johnnie withdraws his post.
