A Ghanaian songstress, Eldah Naa Abiana Dickson known by the stage name Abiana has asserted that it takes tenacity and perseverance to succeed in the music industry.

Speaking in an interview on 3FM Drive monitored by 1Family Radio, the songstress stated that in order to reach the peak of your career, you have to be tenacious and persistent.

Citing herself as an illustration, she mentioned that she was able to resurge after she was trolled by netizens for declining a candidate of Mentor. She added that she was able bounce back because she was tenacious.

She furthered that she will always bounce back not matter what comes her way because she is “trying to live her whole life with music’’, she noted.

Explaining why most women tend to talk about inequity and injustice in the music industry, Abiana stated that women are mostly emotional and they tend to feel more. She added that women are mothers and therefore cannot bear so much pain like their counterparts. Abiana furthered that women are very sensitive therefore they are easily moved by the things that happen around them.

“However, this does not apply to every woman”, she indicated. She mentioned that she has seen women succeeding in their careers and every woman out there can succeed if she is determined and tenacious.
